System Engineer – Linux, VMware, and Windows Backup
Job Description
Configuration and support for RHEL 7.x and 8.x, CentOS 7.x and 8.x, OEL 7.x and 8.x, Ubuntu =>18.04 LTS, SUSE, Windows Server 2012/2019.
Database Installation and basic configuration for the following databases,
MongoDB, PostgreSQL, VerticaDB, MySQL, MS SQL Server 2012 or above and Oracle.
Installation and configuration of VMs in multiple Hypervisor environments VMware/Openstack/KVM.
Provide L1 and L2 support for all Linux/windows VMs/Servers, Storage and Backup.
Should have good operational experience in managing Virtual infrastructure.
Should be able to conduct Periodic Hardware firmware upgrades and onsite physical activities.
Configuration and support for Backup technology.
Should have good understanding and operational skills with regards to the application integration for different front-end systems and workloads.
Should have good experience on Servers systems installations, implementations and configurations (Build, Backup and Monitoring).
System Administrator will carry out health check-up of operating system.
To carry out preventive maintenance as and when required.
Space Management, Performance Monitoring, BIOS/Firmware/Patch level/version upgrade, service pack updates.
OS Installation, Configuration, Up-gradation, Patch Management, Hardening, User management, audit compliance, load monitoring, OS tuning, Log maintenance etc.
Implementation and updating of security solutions like Privilege Identity Management (PIM), Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM).
Check for Server logs for failures and take corrective steps.
Support should be provided for production as well as non-production environment.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 5+ years of experience
- Red Hat, Microsoft certification
