Qatar Local Hire – Strategy and planning consultant

The main responsibilities are:
The Strategy and Planning Consultant supports the development of the strategic framework, strategic
plan and detailed annual operating plans, ensuring the completion of strategic actions at various
levels to achieve the desired results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Supporting, developing and clarifying the vision, mission, strategy and objectives of the Planning Department.
● Managing budgets.
● Project management and operating plans.
● Contract Management.
● Develop templates, standard terms and definitions to support the Planning Department’s strategic framework.
● Manage the development of annual work plans, from creating models to distribution, communication and support, entities and departments and ensuring that these plans coherently align with the strategic planning framework and overall plan.
● Support the strategic planning team to develop the department’s strategic plan, which consists of long, medium and short term goals.
● Develop organizational priorities, objectives, and results and bring them together within the framework of management vision and mission statements
● Facilitate the implementation of the strategy, and work closely with the rest of the departments to align strategic planning with the implementation of the strategy, Monitor progress and risks.
● Develop metrics and key performance indicators for the strategic plan and support organizational understanding of how to implement it.
● Developing and establishing strategic workshops.
Education and Certifications for Consultant:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field.
● Master’s degree in Business Administration or any related field.
● A PhD in Business Administration or any related field is preferred.
Experience:
● Minimum 20 years of experience in strategic planning.
● Experience in research and planning in government sectors in Qatar.
● Knowledge and experience in project management not less than 10 years.
Languages:
● Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
Skills:
● Strong communication skills.
● Ability to collect data, establish facts, and build valid conclusions.
● Ability to interpret financial and technical reports.
● Advanced skills in writing reports, public speaking and presentations.
● Skills of using MS Power Business Intelligence, MS projects, MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS word
