Our Qatar office is looking to fill a Mechanical QA / QC position for one of our clients. Candidate must be locally available and able to join immediately or within 30 days.
Full Salary Package ranges at QAR 11,500 – 15,000.
Qualifications:
· Graduate Mechanical Engineer
· 10 to 12 years of experience in large scale projects like commercial, industrial, hotel projects and airport projects.
· Well versed word processing and database programs (Microsoft Office)
· Knowledge in CAD (preferred)
Registrations / Certifications (preferable):
· UPDA / QCDD
· ISO 9001: 2015
Job Description:
· Implementing the quality assurance programmed at site. Familiar with development of quality management systems, quality assurance & control relevant to big infrastructure projects/Civil projects during engineering development, procurement, construction & commissioning stages.
· Working knowledge in the engineering construction field for inspection and authority certification processes for installed system/equipment/ materials of project and the associated Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices-Working knowledge in HOT/COLD processes, welding & brazing etc.
· Preparing PQP, ITP, and other QA/QC documents, method statement, check lists, work risk assessments, Prepare all ‘Standard Test forms’ to be used for pressure –leak tests.
· Prepare PQR (Procedure Qualification for WPS), qualify welders and prepare welder qualifications and welders ID.
· Review of associated quality control documentation to ensure that equipment and materials are produced fabricated in accordance with applicable codes, client and project specifications and standards.
· Supervise field inspection activities of site manufacturing/construction, welding, NDT examinations and pressure testing and prepare daily inspection reports.
· Inspecting all MEP works as per project specification & local authority regulations.
· Inspecting the materials and works prior to consultant inspection to ensure work is done as per project specification and approved drawings.
· Witness testing as required by the contract and the job specifications.
· Maintaining records on all quality checks performed and ensuring proper data entry onto the system and documents control.
· Ensure that the installation, inspection and testing of all the mechanical equipment, fittings and work implemented meets the specification and the consultant requirements
· Verify the accuracy of shop drawings and their compliance to the specification, consultant’s design and existing local authority standard.
· Review all materials received on the site, ensuring they are as per approval.
· Coordinate with other project personnel to ensure that deadlines, procedures, and other project requirements are met.
· Reporting back to the Site/Project Engineers all cases of deficiency and/or Non Conformities and issuing Quality reports as required
