Junior Graphic Designer
OVERVIEW
Junior Graphic Designer oversees the creation of a wide range of creative content for company products, advertising, brochures, and marketing materials. The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for developing needs, visualizing them, and designing graphics such as illustrations, logos, layouts, and images.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Visualization based on specifications.
· Hand drawing images and layouts or using design software.
· Test graphics across a variety of mediums.
· Staying up to date with industry trends to keep ahead of competitors.
· Examine design briefs to identify requirements.
· Create visuals based on the specifications.
· Make preliminary drafts and offer your ideas.
· Create graphics, logos, and other designs by hand or with software.
· Utilize proper color and accurate layouts for each graphic.
· Collaborate with the department heads and other designers to create the final design.
· Graphics should be tested on a variety of media.
· After receiving comments, revise designs to ensure final graphics and layouts are aesthetically appealing and on-brand.
· Create 3D models.
SKILLS
· Proven graphic designing experience.
· A strong illustration or graphic portfolio
· A keen eye for aesthetics and details
· Excellent communication skills.
· 3D modeling through SketchUp, Blender, Autocad & VRay
· Work methodically and meet deadlines.
· A design, fine arts degree, or a similar subject is preferred.
QUALIFICATION & KNOWLEDGE
Minimum 3 years’ experience in graphic design
A strong illustration or graphic design portfolio
Proficient in using the latest version of the Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SketchUp, Blender, Autocad & VRay. Use of a different graphics package (AVA) would be desirable.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Basic photography and videography knowledge, including editing.
Strong understanding, knowledge, and confidence using all major social media portals.
A bachelor’s degree in design, fine arts, or a related discipline is preferred.
