We are looking for well experienced Procurement Engineer
(Ashghal Projects)
Only for a Local Transfer in QATAR who can join IMMEDIATELY!
A minimum of Seven (7) years’ experience in Roads, Infrastructure and Drainage construction, in similar position and can join immediately.
Duties and responsibilities will be as follows:
Responsible for analyzing all suppliers to purchase from by conducting market research and product comparisons for those able to deliver high-quality products with the best competitive pricing. Ensures that the company gets the best price and quality possible from the local or international supplier by negotiating sales/ purchase agreements. Maintains and updates a list of approved suppliers and supplier market prices for comparative purposes. Ensure that files and documentation are maintained and updated in both FOCUS and hard copy as per the company and ISO standards. Performs all other duties that may be assigned to the position as required by the Management. Knowledge in construction work/suppliersโ knowledge in BOQ preparation Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule, and quality. Develop purchasing or sourcing strategies based on portfolio analyses and supplier preference study. Define and maintain documented category and
supplier strategies using market and competitive data. Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedule so as to ensure on-time deliveries of the final product. Develop, implement, and drive the procurement strategies in order to meet cost savings targets. Review and manage the supplier base to ensure consistency with
the sourcing strategy. Perform regular performance reviews with suppliers to drive continuous improvements. Create monthly performance reviews and reports focusing on overall sourcing requirements. Ensure commercial, legal, and contractual compliance in all procurement transactions. Adopt appropriate
supplier management methodologies and procurement strategies in purchasing to secure better prices. Coordinate with vendors on continuous quality improvement.
Education Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
